Flashed-Barred Owl — Canvas print

As part of the “Impact” series, Flashed plays on the effect of light. The barred owl is clearly lit; however, the moon is behind him. As an observer of nature, it is sometimes necessary to bring artificial light into a wild space. Being aware of the disruption reminds me to respect the space of nature’s inhabitants and to pay close attention to the effect my presence has.
